Job Summary
Yard Spotter to safely move trailers within the yard and position them at loading docks, coordinating with warehouse personnel and adhering to safety and transportation standards. Role requires pre-trip inspections, PPE compliance, accurate record-keeping of trailer movements, effective communication during shifts, and maintaining a clean and organized yard. Must hold a Valid Class A CDL, have at least 3 years of verifiable Class A driving/yard jockey experience, be able to work 12-hour day or night shifts including weekends/holidays, pass a background check and drug screen, hold a DOT Medical Card, and be registered with the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse. Familiarity with safety procedures, hazard awareness, and compliance programs is necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable Class A driving or yard jockey experience
- Experience operating yard tractors in a fast-paced environment preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (day or night), including weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Must pass background check, drug screen, and have a clean MVR
- Valid DOT Medical Card required
- Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
