Job Summary
Yard Sales Associate 1 CDL Driver combines sales and driving responsibilities to provide exceptional customer service while transporting lumber and building materials. Responsibilities include assisting customers with product knowledge, operating a commercial vehicle for deliveries, loading/unloading, maintaining a safe and organized yard, supporting inventory, and collaborating with team members to fulfill orders. Requires CDL with a clean driving record and Boom Truck Operation; emphasis on safety, customer service, and efficient deliveries. Training and development opportunities noted.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a lumber yard or related industry
- Proven experience operating commercial vehicles and handling deliveries
- Experience in customer service or sales is an advantage
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate forklifts and other yard equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic mathematical skills for inventory management and sales transactions
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to yard operations and vehicle maintenance
- Boom Truck Operation
