Job Summary
Safely load and unload materials from flatbeds, trailers, and delivery vehicles, then operate forklifts, Combi-Lifts, and other equipment to move steel, lumber, and oversized freight throughout the yard and warehouse. Stage, organize, and prepare materials for customer delivery and internal production needs while performing inventory movements, order reconciliation, and system transactions. Maintain accurate inventory records, inspect equipment before use, and report hazards or damaged materials promptly in a fast-paced indoor and outdoor environment. Requires 3–5 years of warehouse experience, valid driver's license, and ability to lift 50–100 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of prior warehouse, yard, shipping, or industrial material handling experience
- 3–5 years of forklift experience
- Hands-on experience operating a Combi-Lift
- Experience safely loading, unloading, and moving large, oversized, and bulky freight
- Experience working in an indoor / outdoor industrial environment
- Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and activity logs
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift and move materials weighing 50–100 pounds
- Must be physically capable of safely performing essential job duties in an active yard / warehouse setting
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen and maintain a drug-free workplace
