Yard Operative

Yard Operative needed at Parkers Building Supplies in Newhaven to support the safe, efficient operation of the builders’ merchant yard. This outdoor, hands-on role involves loading/unloading building materials and timber, picking and preparing customer orders, assisting customers in the yard, maintaining a clean and safe yard, and operating forklift trucks if trained. Health and safety procedures must be followed. Requires a Full UK driving licence; forklift licence is preferred but not essential. Prior yard or builders’ merchant experience is desirable. Working hours are Monday–Friday 07:00–17:00 with Saturday 08:00–12:00 on alternating weeks. Competitive salary and benefits offered.
