Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of a high-volume non-ferrous scrap yard, including purchasing, processing, shipping, and inventory management. Grade and purchase metals (copper, aluminum, brass, stainless steel, insulated wire); supervise yard staff; operate heavy equipment; maintain inventory controls; build supplier and commercial account relationships; ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental standards; coordinate shipments with logistics teams; train and mentor employees on grading, safety, and equipment operation.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual: Fluent in Spanish and English
- 3+ years of experience in a non-ferrous scrap recycling environment
- Experience operating heavy equipment (balers, forklifts, bobcats)
- Strong knowledge of non-ferrous metal grading and purchasing practices
- Leadership experience supervising yard personnel or operations teams
