Job Summary
Yard Laborer needed to perform physical labor in an Omaha Track yard environment, including greasing systems and equipment, shoveling, keeping equipment and yard areas clean, operating hand tools, participating in job briefings, maintaining safety and housekeeping, and complying with railroad rules. Requires basic mechanical and math skills, effective communication in English, ability to read instructions, and ability to work outdoors and lift up to 60 lbs; prior general labor experience is a plus. Requires adherence to safety policies and completion of required safety training/certifications; valid driver's license preferred. Location: Omaha, NE (WECO_Millard Yard) with on-site duties. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license preferred (must not have any major driving offenses within the last three years)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated intermediate mechanical and basic mathematical skills
- Ability to operate hand operated tools for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift/carry up to 60lbs
