Job Summary
Yard Laborer – Helper at Gator Dredging. Responsibilities include general cleanup and maintenance of the shop yard and storage areas, operating small hand and power tools, building maintenance (changing filters, trash, paper goods), equipment maintenance (washing, grinding, painting), loading/unloading tools and materials, operating a forklift, and delivering to jobsites. The role involves driving company vehicles, running errands, and working independently or with a team. Physical requirements include outdoor work in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 pounds. Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required
- Knowledge and experience operating small hand tools and small power tools
- Must be local to the Clearwater, St. Petersburg, or Tampa area
- Must have your own reliable transportation to and from work
- Knowledge of repairing small engines a plus
- Welding and mechanical experience a plus
- Forklift certification a plus
- OSHA certifications a plus
- Experience driving a truck with a boat trailer or 30-foot flatbed trailer a plus
