Job Summary
Overnight Yard Jockey responsible for maneuvering straight trucks (<26,000 pounds GVWR) into loading bays and assisting with loading. Tasks include starting and monitoring refrigeration units on trucks, loading/unloading duties, wrapping pallets, putting away produce, and dock operations. Requires reliable attendance for night shifts (Sunday–Friday 8pm until job is done) and clear communication with supervisors and coworkers. Prior experience with straight trucks and a preference for Class B (airbrakes) CDL; experience in refrigerated warehouse environments is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, write and receive instruction in English.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Experience in utilizing Windows based computer applications a plus.
- Experience operating straight trucks required.
- Experience working in refrigerated, food/beverage warehouse preferred.
- Class B (airbrakes) CDL preferred.
