Job Summary
Yard Jockey (Switcher) moves trailers in and out of dock using yard goats, conducts end-of-shift yard audits, performs pre- and post-trip inspections and submits reports on truck conditions, and handles drop and hook while adhering to safety-sensitive guidelines. Requires ability to read safety procedures, operate the Yard Management System (YMS), and demonstrate attention to detail; must have experience backing 48'–53' trailers, no recent DOT incidents, and a Class A CDL is preferred. Night shift with home daily schedule, weekly pay, and benefits offered; overtime after 40 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL (preferred)
- Minimum 12 months verifiable over-the-road or trailer spotting experience in last 3 years
- No preventable DOT accidents within past 3 years
- No felony convictions within past 7 years
- Pass pre-hire background and drug test
- PSP below 90
- Hourly position, night shift, overtime after 40 hours
- Must meet MVR requirements
- Clearance: Clearinghouse consent
