Job Summary
Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and forklift operation. Manage day-to-day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading while ensuring accurate product movement and truck loading/unloading. Safely maneuver tractor trailers on the yard, maintaining accurate inventory records and logs in compliance with safety and DOT regulations. Detect and minimize safety hazards while adhering to federal and state laws. Schedule runs Sunday through Wednesday from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm. This role supports distribution across the US, offering weekly pay, paid training, and a team-first culture built on respect.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Yard Driver Examination
- Meet Ryder's driving qualifications
- Must have verifiable driving experience in 'like' equipment: 9 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the 10 years
- Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
- Ability to: Follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to: Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
- Ability to: Work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to: Lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to: Stand for long periods of time
- Ability to: Work on a flexible schedule on the various work shifts
- Ability to: Work using health and safety methods
- Ability to: Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
- Ability to: Read and/or listen and understand information and ideas communicated

- Ability to: Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
- Ability to: Maintain accurate records and logs
- Ability to: Maintain accurate moves, yard inventory, records and logs
- Ability to: Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
- Ability to: Safely handle and maneuver tractor trailers on the yard, but cannot drive on public roads
- Requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service
- Basic level knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice requirements, if applicable to site
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
