Job Summary
Safely and efficiently transport trailers from yard to dock and dock to yard, using power equipment to load and unload product. Responsible for unloading/loading, locating, stacking, and counting product, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Requires Class A CDL and forklift operations, with ability to obtain/maintain a forklift license; must understand DOT regulations and safety policies. Works 1st shift (6:00am–2:30pm, Mon–Fri) with overtime as needed; role includes multi-tasking across yard operations, palletization, trailer moves, and coordination with dispatch and maintenance. Thorough knowledge of trailer handling, RF scan devices, and compliant operation of Class 8/tractor-trailer equipment in a non-climate controlled environment.
Required Qualifications
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Forklift license
- Ability to obtain/maintain forklift license
- Ability to drive a Class A tractor-trailer on commercial routes
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Experience with RF Scan Device
- Safe operation of power equipment for loading/unloading
- Ability to coordinate yard-to-dock trailer movements
- Compliance with safety and SOPs
