Job Summary
Move loaded and empty trailers safely in the yard and between facilities; drop, hook, and position trailers according to nightly load schedules; conduct yard inspections and equipment checks; coordinate trailer movement with transportation and warehouse teams; deliver equipment and trailers to designated locations as needed; assist drivers facing Hours of Service (HOS) limitations; report damaged or inoperable equipment; maintain a safe and organized yard environment; follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Current DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one.
- 1+ year of experience in yard switching, CDL driving, transportation, warehouse, military, or related operations.
- Comfortable backing trailers and operating heavy equipment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Safety-focused with attention to detail.
