Job Summary
The DC Yard Jockey is responsible for transporting trailers within the yard and to off-site locations safely and accurately, maintaining a clean and orderly trailer yard. Duties include conducting inspections of equipment, performing safety checks, and assisting in daily cleanup tasks. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a valid state driver’s license and clean driving record for 3 years. The role requires effective communication skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety rules. Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs, work flexible hours including mandatory overtime, and fulfill physical job demands.
