Job Summary
The Yard Foreman will oversee daily goals, schedules, and expectations for the yard crew while maintaining inventory records for materials and equipment. Responsibilities include managing performance evaluations, coordinating inter-company deliveries, and implementing department standards. Candidates must have a solid understanding of yard operations, experience with equipment, and strong communication skills. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with the ability to lift 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- General laydown yard operations knowledge
- Experience operating general laydown yard equipment
- Experience managing direct reports
- Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate
- Experience demonstrating high drive and sense of urgency
- Demonstrated ability working independently
- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to work from various heights
- Able to work a 40-hour work week with overtime as required
- Able to work in extreme weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 30 certification
