Job Summary
Drive dry van trailers in and out of dock doors at Georgia Pacific, keeping production moving and maintaining yard organization. Operate equipment with a Class A CDL, safely entering and exiting the vehicle and rear cargo area while performing pickups and deliveries based on customer requirements. Physically handle tasks involving frequent movement, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50lbs regularly or 100lbs occasionally. Report all equipment problems, accidents, traffic violations, and damage immediately. Work the 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the 3rd shift from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, or weekend shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Earn an average pay of $17.50/hr with access to health, dental, vision, Rx, 401(k) with match, and various safety and referral bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Acceptable references from past employers
- CDL Class A
- Physically capable to perform all job duties, which includes moving frequently, standing, walking, and sitting
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle
- Ability to safely and frequently enter/exit the rear cargo area
- Ability to perform routes, pickups & deliveries based on customer requirements
