Job Summary
Transport empty and full trailers, operate forklifts to move pallets and materials safely around the yard, and inspect equipment to ensure it's in top condition. Perform routine maintenance on yard trucks and operate a dump truck during harvest season. Follow established procedures and proper forklift operation protocols to protect yourself, your teammates, and property while supporting resource conservation and recycling programs. Work any shift as needed, including overtime, and lift up to 55 lbs. This role requires a valid driver's license, safe driving record, and completion of in-house clamp and forklift skills tests. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, hold a high school diploma, and possess 2–3 years of tractor trailer driving experience. Shifts are 10 hours, Monday through Thursday, from 3:00 pm to 1:30 am.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate
- 2 years of previous yard driver/truck driving experience specifically driving and repositioning tractor trailers
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Reliable vehicle (if applicable)
- At least 21 years of age
- Basic math skills
- Writing skills
- Ability to comply with company GMP policies
- Ability to work any shift as needed, including overtime
- Ability to lift and move up to 55 lbs
- Physical capability to execute all essential functions of the job
- Ability to accept constructive feedback and adjust behavior accordingly
- Ability to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events up to 5% of the time
- Ability to be 18 years or older
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years of previous yard driver/truck driver experience specifically driving and repositioning tractor trailers
- Current Forklift or Clamp Certification
- Experience with computerized Warehouse Management System
- Experience working in a team environment
