Job Summary
Move trailers from the yard to nearby distribution centers, spotting inbound and outbound loads while ensuring sufficient equipment availability. Communicate load requirements with drivers and provide excellent customer service to drivers and customers. Perform additional work-related tasks as needed, including lifting 20lbs and pushing/pulling 80lbs items like fuel hoses and truck cabs. This local driving position requires a valid CDL A with six months of experience hauling a 53-ft trailer OTR within the last two years, plus a high school diploma or GED. Shifts run 6pm to 6am, five days on three days off.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 months of experience hauling a 53-ft trailer OTR within the last two years
- Valid CDL with six months of CDL A experience
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical prior to being hired
- Ability to get in and out of trailers and hook/disconnect trailers multiple times per day
- Ability to lift and carry 20lbs
- Ability to push and pull 80lbs
- Required 3rd shift availability
