Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment to load, unload, and stage finished HVAC products and materials within the Grand Rapids storage yard. Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections to verify equipment condition and report maintenance concerns. Perform inventory handling, cycle counts, and tracking to ensure accuracy while coordinating with logistics and shipping personnel. Maintain compliance with safety policies, traffic patterns, and standard work procedures. Respond to changing shipping demands, peak workloads, and weather-related operational needs. Work outdoors in varying conditions including heat, cold, and rain while wearing required PPE.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum of two (2) years of heavy equipment operating experience
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- PPE compliance in accordance with site policy
- Pass additional drug screening (Safety Sensitive Role)
Desired Qualifications
- Mi-Jack or Travelift operating experience
- Container handling experience
- Rail or intermodal yard experience
- Forklift certification
- CDL Class A
