YARD ASSOCIATE

YARD ASSOCIATE responsible for customer service and the physical tasks of handling lumber and building materials. Duties include verifying material type/quantity/size for customer orders, cutting stock to size with a stationary saw and recording on cut sheets, assisting with loading/delivery, handling returns via RMAs, maintaining tidy storage areas, safe material handling, stocking and stacking lumber, and performing yard maintenance (mowing, weed whacking, snow removal). Requires ability to read safety rules and manuals, interpret documents, and communicate with customers and team members. Must be able to lift up to 50-75 pounds, work in a loud outdoor environment, and operate or be trained in forklift use. Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; 12 months related experience or equivalent acceptable. Forklift training and ongoing competency are required. Additional duties as assigned by supervision to ensure efficient yard operations.
