Job Summary
YARD ASSOCIATE role focusing on customer service and physical yard tasks: move, store, and maintain lumber and building materials; assist customers with orders and verify material type/quantity/size; cut stock to size with stationary power saw and document on cut sheets; notify Yard Foreman or Inventory Control Specialist of low stock items; prepare material for delivery and assist loading/delivery; accompany driver for off-loading; prepare RMAs to confirm item type/quantity/size and submit for approval; maintain tidiness of storage areas; handle materials safely; stock and store materials per supervisor directions; proactively stay busy with tasks; stack and secure lumber, pick up yard litter, and perform mowing, weed whacking, and snow removal; report equipment safety concerns; as with all roles, additional duties may be assigned. Forklift training and continued forklift competency required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma; or twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
