Yard Associate

Job Summary
Operate a forklift to move product and material throughout the yard, assisting customers in locating and loading items while reviewing materials against invoices or requisitions. Lift doors and windows up to 75 pounds when needed, ensuring correct placement and maintaining well-stocked inventory. Perform routine clean-up, observe all safety procedures, and provide superior customer service to internal and external clients. Requires OSHA Forklift Certification and experience building frame packs. Tibbetts Lumber Co. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Six (6) months of experience with performing these or similar tasks; or equivalent combination of training, education and experience
- OSHA Forklift Certification
- experience building frame packs
- Knowledge of various types of lumber
- Ability to operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment
- Knowledge of safety procedures while performing tasks
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of company products/inventory available at work location
- Ability to read and understand invoices and requisitions
- Ability to lift doors and windows up to 75 pounds when needed
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
