Job Summary
Porter / Yard Worker at Sunbelt Rentals responsible for stationing and retrieving equipment on the location's property, maintaining a written maintenance schedule, and inspecting equipment prior to and after rental to document any lost and/or damaged equipment. Includes documentation of losses, basic math, effective communication with customers, and adherence to safety-focused culture. On-the-job training provided with opportunities for advancement into mechanic, driver, or customer service roles.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred
- Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers (written and oral)
- Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- General mechanical aptitude
- Safety-focused
- Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs
