Job Summary
Station and retrieve equipment on the location's property while maintaining a written maintenance schedule to ensure all gear meets specifications. Inspect equipment prior to and after rental to document any lost or damaged items. Perform basic repairs as necessary and communicate effectively with customers regarding equipment status. This role supports Sunbelt Rentals, the fastest growing rental business in North America, which offers a vast fleet ranging from pumps to scaffolding. The position provides opportunities to advance into mechanic, driver, or customer service roles within a safety-focused culture.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers (written and oral)
- Ability to perform basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc)
- General mechanical aptitude
- Safety-focus
- Bilingual (Spanish or Other)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Ability to bend
- Ability to squat
- Ability to crouch
- Ability to reach
- Ability to work indoors
- Ability to work outdoors
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred
- Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment preferred
