Job Summary
Yard Associate responsible for stationing and retrieving equipment at the Sunbelt Rentals location, maintaining a written maintenance schedule, and possibly servicing equipment to meet specifications. Includes inspecting equipment before and after rental to document losses or damage. Requires basic math, effective communication, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work indoors/outdoors with lifting of 50 pounds or more; on-the-job training provided and opportunities for advancement into mechanic, driver, or customer-service roles.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred
- Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers (written and oral)
- Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- General mechanical aptitude
- Safety-focused
- Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs
