Job Summary
Yard Associate at PADNOS Recycling Centers responsible for guiding customer interactions, sorting and upgrading materials to meet quality standards, and operating small equipment (shears, balers, loaders, forklifts) to process materials for shipment. Role includes assisting with purchasing various grades of material from customers, unloading and loading material, operating cranes as needed, supporting staff, maintaining housekeeping, processing cars, and ensuring inventory control and accuracy in operations. Requires basic computer skills, strong interpersonal and customer service abilities, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Six months operating small equipment experience preferred
- Equipment operation and preventative maintenance knowledge
- Basic computer skills
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
