Job Summary
Manage yard inventory control and procedures, including staging, loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, cycle counts, and transfers to ensure accurate loads delivered promptly. Maintain a safe, hazard-free, and organized yard through general cleanup, routine inspections, maintenance, repairs, and equipment cleaning while adhering to all safety regulations. Communicate issues impacting the business to the Store Manager and assist with various duties as assigned by the Yard Supervisor or Store Manager. Operate and maintain all yard equipment and vehicles. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with overtime pay after 40 hours and weekend work included.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate and maintain all equipment and vehicles in the yard, strictly adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines
- Strong collaborative and autonomous work ethic; supports a teamwork mindset and is self-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset for continuous knowledge growth
- Detail-oriented, ensuring the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned, with the ability to proactively solve problems
- Adaptable and agile to quickly learn new and changing technologies and processes

- Regular and reliable attendance is mandatory
- Experience with providing a great customer experience
- Basic math proficiency for calculating quantities and ensuring accurate inventory counts
- Proven organizational, time management, detail-orientation, and problem-solving abilities
- Effective and consistent communication skills with internal and external customers
- Ability to adapt quickly, thrive, and succeed in a fast-paced environment
- Must have an inherent desire to learn, develop, and strive for continuous improvement
- Must be able to work outdoors in extreme and varying weather conditions and temperatures
- Constantly lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds; regularly lift and/or move objects, equipment parts, and tools up to 50 pounds or more; and occasionally move objects up to 100 pounds or more
- Spend extended periods standing and walking on varying, possibly uneven surfaces, maneuvering throughout the yard and around large equipment/obstacles. May also remain stationary for long periods (standing or sitting). Move into different positions, including bending and stooping, to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces
- Use hands, fingers, and arms to manipulate tools, equipment, and small parts with precision and control. This includes constantly performing repetitive motions such as gripping, twisting, turning, fingering, handling, feeling, or making repeating motions and reaching
- Good vision and hearing are essential for safely operating machinery, reading technical manuals, and communicating. Must have close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection at all times
- Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Employment is contingent on passing a background check
- Some roles require passing a drug test
