Job Summary
Provide web-based language instruction to improve foreign language speaking and listening skills across ILR 0+–3 levels, using modern communicative methods and curated POI-aligned materials. Deliver instruction in listening, reading, writing, and speaking, develop learning materials, and organize data and teaching records. Conduct ad hoc tutoring sessions, teach according to designated POI when required, take attendance, annotate progress daily, and generate weekly progress reports. Review, correct, and grade homework and assessments, provide feedback, maintain a positive online learning environment, and collaborate with Site Lead, POI analyst, and Language Instructional Developer to address curriculum gaps.
Required Qualifications
- Instructor must have access to a computer, a webcam, a headset with a microphone, a phone or smart tablet, and a wired high-speed internet connection.
- Instructor is required to have a phone that can send and receive SMS text notifications.
- English Language Qualifications as specified (ILR 2+, TOEFL or ECL, ACTFL OPI),
- Target Language Qualifications at least ILR 2+ or ACTFL Advanced-High,
- Experience using online platforms such as CL-150 or Blackboard (preferred)
