Job Summary
Maintain Yankee Candle Village facilities and direct workflow for Property & Guest Services staff while coordinating programs for events and store operations. Drive flagship store sales and provide exceptional guest service using company selling techniques. Perform custodial, maintenance, and emergency work; provide snow/ice removal and lawn landscaping maintenance; troubleshoot issues and report needs. Assist managers with workflow direction and training of Property & Guest Services staff; liaise with other departments; coordinate event setup and breakdown, decorations, and requirements; evaluate feedback on event correctables. Follow policies and safety standards; safely operate power tools and power equipment; lead by example.
Required Qualifications
- Basic math and reading skills required
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- A valid driver’s license and a safe driving record required
- Demonstrated ability to exert physical effort up to 40% of the time to handle weights over 60 lbs
- The ability to safely operate a variety of power tools such as drills, saws, and common hand tools
- The ability to drive and or operate power equipment such as All-Terrain vehicles, and snow blowers
- Previous customer service experience preferred
