Job Summary
Design and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, Cucumber BDD, and Java or Python. Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins and TeamCity to support continuous deployment. Develop performance, load, and stress testing strategies to ensure application reliability. Investigate defects, analyze results, and compile metrics for reporting. Collaborate with development and QA teams to build scalable automation suites and uphold engineering best practices through code reviews. Stay current with emerging testing tools to enhance the QA process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in test automation
- Strong proficiency in Java or Python
- Experience using automation frameworks such as Playwright, REST Assured, and Cucumber BDD
- Strong understanding of core programming concepts, including data types, classes, objects, inheritance, and encapsulation
- Strong experience with mocking, fixtures, and automated testing practices
- Solid understanding of integration testing patterns and test environments
- Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
- Hands-on experience with build tools such as Gradle
- Hands-on experience with Linux environments
- Experience testing RESTful APIs and web services
- Experience working with messaging systems such as MQ
- Experience working with streaming platforms such as Kafka
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, including database testing, SQL queries, and data validation across RDBMS and big data environments
- Working knowledge of BDD and TDD methodologies and tools such as Cucumber
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
- Experience implementing TDD and in-sprint automation
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented environment
