Job Summary
Review non-standard contract terms with Sales, Legal, and the Deal Desk to determine revenue impact and ensure ASC 606 compliance. Execute month-end close tasks including manual waterfalls, journal entries, flux analyses, and account reconciliations for significant customers. Perform monthly deal reviews, quote-to-invoice assurance checks, and assist with internal/external audit requests and SOX documentation. Lead special projects focused on process improvement, automation, and revenue assurance initiatives. Contribute to executive reporting, disclosure workbooks, and continuous refinement of revenue close procedures. Work remotely from the comfort of your home.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with Accounting emphasis
- 4+ years of progressive experience in general and revenue accounting
- Excellent knowledge of revenue accounting pronouncements
- High proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and execute in a fast paced environment with attention to details
- Team player and effective communicator with all levels of management and cross functional organizations
- Self starter who exhibits traits of accountability, proactivity and curiosity when approaching work
- Must be willing to work US hours to help close deals
- Work from the comfort of your own home
Desired Qualifications
- Big 4/Accounting Firm experience and CPA
- Familiarity with SQL
- 4+ years of progressive experience in general and revenue accounting, experience with SaaS/high tech industry in the revenue recognition area
- Experience with Salesforce, Zuora, Oracle, Snowflake or other leading O2C/ERP business applications
