Job Summary
X-Ray Technologist operates X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment to assist radiologists/physicians in diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include preparing patients, protecting from radiation, taking X-rays per procedures, setting up equipment, infection control, adjusting radiographic controls, positioning patients, ensuring image clarity, distributing X-rays to medical staff, maintaining patient records and logs, performing quality and safety checks to meet standards, and maintaining radiographic supplies. Qualifications require an Associate’s degree in radiologic technology, 1–3 years of experience, ARRT registration preferred, and RI X-Ray license. Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in radiological technology from accredited X-ray technology program
- One to three years of experience as an X-ray technologist, preferably in a medical practice environment
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration preferred
- X-Ray Tech License of RI
