Job Summary
Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures including intraoperative and fluoroscopic imaging following physician orders and established protocols. Position and secure patients for optimal results while ensuring accurate image labeling and electronic record upload. Verify proper shielding for all individuals and adhere to ALARA principles during procedures. Maintain radiologic equipment through cleaning, quality checks, and coordination of preventive maintenance and regulatory inspections. Track radiation safety measures, including dosimetry badge usage and apron quality checks. Assist with patient transfers, OR suite turnover, and maintain a safe, organized work environment. Collaborate with care teams to ensure timely imaging and communication of results. Participate in inventory management and support compliance during regulatory surveys. Requires ARRT certification, state licensure, and BCLS; 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Proficient in radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging procedures
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and protective practices
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage stressful situations with professionalism and tact
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and equipment maintenance protocols
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care delivery
- Ability to work collaboratively in surgical, urgent care, or outpatient settings
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
Desired Qualifications
