Job Summary
Develop serverless solutions, build custom database integrations, and design scalable systems for Wix users to create sophisticated web applications. Modify existing infrastructure or create entirely new tools to ensure complex applications run securely and efficiently at scale. Collaborate with DevOps engineers on innovative approaches to deep technical problems using Go, Java/Scala, or Node.js. This role requires 4+ years of backend experience, proficiency in distributed systems, and strong containerization skills. Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional backend development experience
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Go, Java/Scala, Node.js or similar)
- Experience with distributed systems and microservice architecture
- Solid understanding of database technologies and optimization techniques
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker, or similar)
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Technical curiosity — you want to know how things work, not just that they work
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with a team
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
