Job Summary
Lamp room supervisor role in Springs, SA: responsible for safe operation and maintenance of lamp room equipment, adherence to DMR guidelines and mine code, coordinating lamp room operators, ensuring quality and safety, handling administrative tasks, liaising with supervisors and customers, and supporting quality programs. Requires Matric or equivalent with mathematics and physical science, National Lamps man certificate, at least 2 years’ lamproom experience with 1 year in a supervisory capacity, computer literacy, fitness for duty, and willingness to relocate or work overtime. Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and compliance with safety procedures are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Matric or equivalent with mathematics and physical science
- National Lamps man certificate
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Lamproom of which at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Basic understanding of Lamproom equipment and tools
- Computer literate
- Medically fit
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to relocate if transferred to other sites
