Job Summary
Operate radiology imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images under supervision, adjusting exposure settings and immobilization devices while positioning patients for x-ray procedures. Administer drugs or radioactive substances for therapeutic purposes, assist in treating diseased areas, and prepare reports maintaining service records. Make minor equipment adjustments and specialize in x-rays of specific body areas as needed. Perform other duties assigned by the radiology team.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Associate's Degree or Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- New York State Radiologic Technology License
- New York State Radiologic Technology Permit can be accepted in lieu of receiving NYS License
Desired Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in general radiology
- Knowledgeable in the use of PACS system
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
