Job Summary
X-ray Technologist responsible for producing high-quality radiographs in alignment with CityMD X-ray protocols and DOH regulatory compliance. Performs chest, extremity, spinal, and abdominal X-ray studies with efficient turnaround times, documents studies, communicates with Providers and Radiologists via internal systems, maintains QC logs, troubleshoots equipment/software, supports patient flow, performs vital signs and EMR documentation, assists with CLIA waivers and EKGs, aids in cleanliness and safety of the site, and contributes to a culture of exceptional patient care. Requires completion of an accredited X-ray Technologist program, strong communication, ability to position patients and determine exam needs from provider instructions, ALARA exposure practices, weekend availability, and BLS certification. Bilingual ability preferred depending on site. Hourly pay range: $45-$47 per hour. Location: Union, NJ (on-site).
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited X-ray Technologist program
- Preferably 4-6 months previous experience in the field
- Strong communication skills to provide clear instructions to patients
- Ability to perform basic X-rays of chest, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, knee, foot or ankle; position patients; adjust exposure factors; interpret provider instructions; use shielding techniques (ALARA)
- Flexibility with full-time schedule including weekends
- Bilingual skills may be required or preferred based on site location
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at time of hire
