Job Summary
Performs all radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures for diagnosing diseases or conditions. Key responsibilities include patient assessment, preparation for procedures, minimizing discomfort, ensuring timely recording in the Radiology Information System, complying with safety protocols, performing quality assurance on exams, and submitting work orders for equipment issues. Requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work with diverse patient age groups, and physical capability for manual tasks.
Required Qualifications
- College graduate from an accredited program in radiologic sciences
- ARRT (Radiography) registered, or registry eligible
- 2 years of experience preferred or new graduates that are ARRT registered
- New graduates that are registry eligible must be registered by ARRT in Radiography within 12 months of hire date
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Verbal and written skills
- Good patient care, knowledge of growth and development and understanding of the range of treatment needed for all age groups
- Ability to bend and lift up to 100 lbs and carry objects up to 50 lbs
Additional Requirements
- Must be ARRT certified or registry eligible
- Must register by ARRT within 12 months for new graduates
