X-Ray Technologist Per Diem

Job Summary
Prepare patients for examination by positioning them and executing specialty radiologic exams while reviewing medical records to verify physician orders. Inspect films for quality and proper identification before interpretation, and maintain room supplies and specialized equipment in compliance with safety guidelines. Assist radiologists during procedures, train new technologists, and complete daily exam data entry and paperwork. Cross-train in other specialty areas as workload demands and report equipment malfunctions immediately to the supervisor. Adjust to variable schedules and adhere to personnel radiation dosimeter policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Must hold a current Florida General Radiographer license from the Department of HRS, Radiation Control
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Must be a Graduate of an AMA Accredited Educational Radiologic Technology Program for Radiologic Technology or equivalent
- One year of radiology clinical experience in a radiology department setting
