Job Summary
Perform diagnostic x-ray exams following ALARA principles; transport patients to and from the x-ray examination room; maintain department cleanliness and OSHA conformity; manage files/images (burn CDs, import images from outside facilities); handle patient/attorney image requests; keep x-ray rooms and equipment clean and well-maintained; fill in at satellites as needed and assist clinical staff as applicable; participate in other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of at least a 2-year accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
- At least 1 year X-ray experience in a fast-paced Orthopedic Practice
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration
- American Heart Association - BLS Certification
- Knowledge of MS Word, EMR (Athena), Digital X-Ray Systems, and PACS
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
