Job Summary
Obtain quality x-rays using correct positioning and radiation exposure while implementing safety procedures for patients, staff, and self. Document CD copies per Patient First guidelines, assist physicians and nurses with patient triage, vital signs, and treatment preparation, and handle requests respectfully. Supervise externs and assistants performing exams, maintain medical records and work areas per OSHA standards, and restock supplies. Ensure patient safety during equipment use and complete assigned checklists, memos, and training as scheduled.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Minimum typing experience
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Registered member of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or graduate of an approved Limited Radiologic Technologist program required
- Licensed, if required in the state
- Must be able to hear pages, bells, and phone system
- Adequate visual, verbal, and written communication skills required
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Must provide the highest quality medical care and professionalism
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (possibly 4-6 hours at a time)
- Must be able to lift moderate to heavy items (up to 50 lbs.)
- Limited Radiologic Technologist must be licensed to practice in the following anatomical areas: chest/thorax, extremities, skull/sinuses, spine and abdomen/pelvis
- Must be available to assist as needed (breaks and mealtimes may be interrupted at any time to provide necessary patient care or to maintain center operations)
- Must check email, review assigned memos and policies, and complete assigned checklists during each shift

- Medical candidates with at least 1-2 years of experience in a physician's office or hospital setting
