X-Ray Technologist Operating Room Per Diem

Job Summary
Prepare patients for examination by positioning them and executing specialty radiologic examinations, including those in the operating room. Review medical records to verify physician orders, inspect films for quality, and monitor patient identifiers before interpretation. Assist radiologists during procedures, complete daily exam data entry, and maintain room supplies. Cross-train in other specialties when workload demands, demonstrate competency with specialized equipment, and report malfunctions immediately. Implement standard precautions and adhere to radiation dosimeter policies. Adjust to variable schedules and procedure techniques as required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Must hold a current Florida General Radiographer license from the Department of HRS, Radiation Control
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Must be a Graduate of an AMA Accredited Educational Radiologic Technology Program for Radiologic Technology or equivalent
- Three years of clinical Radiology Technology experience in specialty
- Experience with specialized OR procedures (Spine, Ortho, Cardiac, Vascular, C-Arm, Pheno, O-Arm) required
- Experience with routine Fluoroscopy, Curve beam, GI department fluoroscopy required
- Experience with specialized Fluoroscopy exam required
- Experience with specialized Orthopedic exam required
