Job Summary
Greet patients, explain procedures compassionately, and position them for diagnostic imaging while practicing ALARA radiation protection techniques. Process images, verify identification and quality control, and prepare them for physician review. Utilize digital and non-digital equipment in compliance with approved radiology policies, and aid providers with prescribed treatments as needed. Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on imaging equipment. Complete forms, maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed, and serve as Medical Receptionist or Medical Assistant when required. Assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and disease through radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- six months to one-year related experience and/or training
- Licensed per state regulation
Desired Qualifications
- ARRT-registered
- board eligible
- Medical Assistant Certification or registry
- Practical Nursing License
- EMT or Paramedic certification
