Job Summary
Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while preparing and positioning patients accurately. Ensure proper radiation protection measures for patients and staff, and maintain and calibrate imaging equipment per manufacturer guidelines. Evaluate images for clarity before submission, maintain accurate patient records, and follow infection control protocols. Collaborate with radiologists and nurses, adhere to HIPAA guidelines, and ensure compliance with state and federal standards. Schedule typically includes Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday with flexibility. ARRT certification and one year of experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- State licensure (if applicable)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- High School Diploma/GED
- Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Current ARRT/ Radiologic Technologist License
- Knowledge of safety requirements to provide instructions and to recognize and correct hazardous conditions
- Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients, colleagues and referring offices
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnostic radiology
- Knowledge of PACS and RIS systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
