Job Summary
The X-Ray Technologist performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced, Level 1 Trauma Facility. Responsibilities include producing diagnostic images, maintaining competent imaging skills, assisting physicians during procedures, and ensuring patient safety. The role involves communication with patients and multidisciplinary teams, as well as data entry and QA for diagnostic images. A suitable candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, adhere to ethical standards, and support a positive department atmosphere.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program
- Associate's Degree Applied Science Degree
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or possess a limited permit
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered
- Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Professional Rescuer certification
