X-Ray Technician

Job Summary
Operate and maintain x-ray machines while determining individual techniques for ordered examinations and positioning patients properly. Perform procedures by verbally confirming with patients, shield them for all exams, and produce quality images with correct patient ID and markings. Escort patients from the lobby to treatment rooms, x-ray waiting areas, and the brace shop, while assisting the providers' healthcare team as needed. Maintain wheelchairs, ensuring proper maintenance and sanitization. Requires a current radiology tech license, active standing and lifting up to 50 pounds, and knowledge of orthopedic terminology.
Required Qualifications
- at least 2 years of clinical x-ray experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current/active radiology tech license
- Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements and regulations
- Thorough knowledge of orthopedic terminology and anatomy
- Ability to project a professional image at all times
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Detail oriented with above average organizational skills
- Frequent standing, walking, grasping, carrying, reaching, bending, and stooping
- Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds or greater
