Job Summary
Perform all routine and special procedure X-Rays, select and operate equipment for examinations, and provide Holter and Event Loop Recorder Monitoring. Assess diagnostic image quality, take corrective action, and document pathology notifications. Maintain X-ray and CR equipment efficiency, record breakdowns, ensure radiation protection compliance, and maintain work area cleanliness. Manage department operations including appointments, confidential file shredding, and form preparation. Participate in the quality assurance program and work on a rotational basis or scheduled on-call rotation during evenings, weekends, and holidays. Seasonal position for 9 weeks with shared accommodation provided.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Medical Radiation Technologist
- Graduate of a recognized school of training
- Registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario
- Maintain active registry status by obtaining the required 25 hour CME credits each year
- Previous experience
- Have an understanding of CR and PACS systems
- Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work to Red Lake, ON
