Job Summary
Perform diagnostic x-rays and assist with patient care; manage X-ray systems and have a basic understanding of digital X-ray services; triage emergent patients; greet patients and register them, verify insurance and collect copays; take vital signs and triage; prepare equipment and assist physicians; direct patients to examination rooms; document patient data and ensure tests are performed accurately and timely; explain prescribed procedures; administer injections, IVs, and phlebotomy as directed; assist with discharge instructions; operate and maintain laboratory equipment; perform laboratory tests; maintain supplies and cleanliness of rooms and waiting areas; enter charges, scan charts, and coordinate faxes and referrals with providers; ensure front office and patient areas are organized.
Required Qualifications
- Limited Scope X-ray (LSRT) certificate - or- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certificate
- 1 year experience post-graduation working as a licensed X-Ray Technologist preferred
- Basic medical assisting experience preferred
- Basic understanding of digital x-ray services
- Understanding of HIPAA and OSHA
- Strong clinical skills and work ethic
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Up to date certificates (new grads who have an x-ray certificate may apply)
