X-Ray Technician - Full Time

Job Summary
Conduct radiographic exams, prepare patients for procedures, and inject contrast when needed. Ensure equipment is in working order, perform routine QA to maintain accreditation, and maintain medical inventory. Develop and process images to film and CD burner, then send studies to the radiologist and archival system. Log completed procedures, process paperwork, and coordinate patient information including charting and charge slips. Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and copy records when requested. Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and federal/state laws while performing duties under general supervision. This float position covers Concord, Ohio, offering competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certification
- Current Ohio License
- Current CPR certification
- Required to maintain CE requirements
- Graduate of accredited X-ray Program
- Minimum of two years' experience in respective area required
- Knowledge of procedures and protocols
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform testing including body mechanics and patient movement
- Knowledge of equipment including safety hazards common to equipment
- Knowledge of printing exams to CD/film
- Working knowledge of PACS system and CD burner
- Knowledge of sending and storing images
- Skill in positioning patients properly
- Skill in identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor
- Ability to apply written instructions and standardized work practices
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, Physicians, patients, and families
