Job Summary
X-ray Technician responsible for performing diagnostic orthopedic X-rays with high-quality imaging, educating patients, operating and maintaining radiography equipment, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and safety standards. Collaborates with orthopedic physicians and staff to provide timely image acquisition, processes images for EMR/PACS, and performs quality control to ensure diagnostic clarity. Requires an associate degree or certification in Radiologic Technology, state licensure/certification, ARRT certification preferred, and 1-2 years of orthopedic/clinical imaging experience. Must be proficient with digital radiography systems, PACS, and possess strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or certification in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program
- State licensure and/or certification (as required by the state of practice)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an X-ray Technician, preferably in an orthopedic or clinical setting
- Proficiency in using digital radiography systems and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems)
- Strong understanding of orthopedic imaging techniques and anatomy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Physical requirements: ability to lift and position patients, stand for extended periods
