Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic X-Ray procedures by adjusting equipment settings, determining proper voltage/exposure, and positioning patients as directed by physicians. Instruct patients on procedures and preparations, including protective lead shielding, while ensuring patient safety and high-quality images. Complete X-rays per protocols, obtain CDs, films, and reports, and maintain logs and records. Keep the X-ray room clean, organized, and well-stocked while maintaining high standards of radiation safety. Requires a high school diploma, accredited Radiology Program graduate, and 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Graduate of accredited Radiology Program
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year X-ray technician in an outpatient orthopedic clinic preferred
- Good verbal, written, and telephone skills
- Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
- Multi-task oriented and can work in a fast-paced environment
